The Results are 'Lonely'
TC // Though their roots are firmly entrenched in Arkansas terra firma, there's something else that The Results seem to channel very easily. It's the whole 80s Minneapolis sound. Call them the band that didn't emerge from that scene with a major label deal. With mixed parts of the song tension of the 'Mats, bits of Jayhawkian spirit, and at times the blissed out guitar fuzz of Husker Du. If that all sounds too anachronistic for you then you're probably not going to get what makes The Results so special. Three good natured boys -- Chris Burnley, Steve Kooms, Tre Baker -- who put together some of the most modest, yet truly great, rock and roll songs around.
Tre Baker // The Results recorded that seven-inch with Marcus Lowe, who was running a homemade studio next to the fire station on Chester. There were a couple of times we'd have to stop recording to let the sirens go by. It was incredibly hot up there, and we pretty much decided on the spot which songs to record: The two songs you hear on the single as well as "Common Sense" and "Orange Barrel Delight".

The photograph on the sleeve was taken at Blank Generation, a club located on Main Street in downtown Little Rock. We had just played a show to four people, and the club managers were gracious enough to let us use their front windows. Burnley's old college buddy took the picture, and we promptly thanked him by misspelling his name on the back sleeve.
