The Playground Messiah released  // Emil (then Emily) Heiple and I published this at the end of our senior year of high school-I think we made about 150 of them, and then Tree of Knowledge printed 1000 more in early 1998 with different covers. The plot: A high school kid stumbles across a group of revolutionaries holding clandestine meetings in the school's boiler room. He becomes so captivated by their revolutionary ideas that he rushes back into the school, yelling, rousing the student body into a youth revolt that ultimately backfires when the National Guard guns down most of the school's population.
