The Big Cats win battle of the bands
Jason White // This was great! We'd actually won something. Who would have thought? Kevin Kerby later told me that we looked hungry at this show. The best compliment. This was our heyday for me as this incarnation of the Cats. We left for our first tour the next day. Also, we got a free recording out of this that produced "Rock n' Roll Nitemare" and "Runaway."
Burt Taggart // Strange because just as they were about to announce the winner, two things happened. First, some fans of ours that were by that point way legless, took the mic over to hoist us as the champs, meanwhile there's a guy harassing me at the bar asking first if i was wearing his jacket, then simply "follow me to the bathroom".
