Nowadays, downtown Cleveland has "hip" clubs, restaurants, and bars, and all the "normal" kids are out trying to have a good time in their fancy shirts, shiny shoes, and sparkly dresses ... not that there's anything wrong with that ;)
Growing up, the flats was the place to be for music, bands, cheap beers, scary people, the possibility of being mugged, and the feeling (and smell) the next day that you just did something fairly rebellious and the music rocked.
"All this energy callin' me
Back where it comes from
It's such a crude attitude
It's back where it belongs
All the little kids growing up on the skids"
